Residential Switchboard and Safety Breaker Upgrade

The property’s main switchboard required an upgrade to improve electrical safety, modernise the existing switchgear and bring the meter wiring in line with current Energex requirements.

Jaric Air Conditioning and Electrical licensed technicians, isolated the mains power before removing the old switchboard equipment and installing a new load centre within the main switchboard.

All existing circuit breakers were replaced with new combination MCB/RCD safety breakers, providing individual overload, short-circuit and safety-switch protection across the property’s sub circuits. The meter wiring was also upgraded to meet current Energex standards.

Once the new switchgear was installed, our team tested every sub circuit throughout the premises and completed a visual inspection of the property’s electrical installation.

The upgraded switchboard was then safely energised and the newly installed equipment was thoroughly tested to confirm correct operation.

The completed upgrade provided the homeowner with a safer, more modern electrical distribution system, improved circuit protection and greater confidence in the overall safety of the property.
