Split System Replacement Petrie: MHI CIARA Upgrade

This split system replacement Petrie project followed the diagnosis of multiple faults within the homeowner’s ageing Kelvinator air conditioner.

Both printed circuit boards in the outdoor unit had failed and required replacement, while increasing noise from the indoor fan motor bearings indicated further wear within the system.

With multiple major components requiring repair, replacing the existing air conditioner was determined to be the more economical and reliable long-term option.

Jaric decommissioned and removed the existing indoor and outdoor units before supplying and installing a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries CIARA Reverse Cycle Inverter Split System, model DXK09ZTLA-WF-Set.

As part of the replacement, our technicians also renewed the necessary refrigerant pipework, duct covering, interconnecting cables, outdoor isolation switch, condenser mounting equipment and power supply cables.

The new split system was then commissioned and tested to confirm correct operation.

The completed split system replacement in Petrie gave the homeowner a modern reverse-cycle air conditioning system without continuing to invest in repairs to multiple major components of the ageing Kelvinator unit.
