Interconnected Smoke Alarm Compliance Upgrade in Aspley

This smoke alarm upgrade in Aspley involved replacing outdated or non-compliant alarms with a modern interconnected photoelectric smoke alarm system throughout the bedrooms and required escape routes.

Jaric Air Conditioning and Electrical assessed the existing alarms before safely isolating, removing and making safe any outdated, expired or non-compliant units.

We supplied and installed five Red Professional RDAR10RFP photoelectric smoke alarms, each powered by a sealed 10-year lithium battery and featuring built-in wireless RF interconnection.

The interconnected system is designed so that when one alarm detects smoke, all connected alarms sound simultaneously, helping alert occupants throughout the property.

The Red Professional alarms also feature an anti-insect mesh around the photoelectric detection chamber to help minimise false activations, along with a 10-year manufacturer warranty.

For easier everyday operation, Jaric also installed a Red RDARACP wall controller. This allows the occupants to test the alarms, identify which alarm has been triggered and silence the system from the wall controller without needing to access individual ceiling-mounted alarms.

Once installation was complete, the system was energised and tested to confirm correct alarm operation and wireless RF interconnection.

The completed smoke alarm upgrade in Aspley provided the property with a modern, interconnected photoelectric smoke alarm system designed to meet applicable Queensland smoke alarm requirements.
