Split System Replacement Capalaba: 7.1kW MHI Bronte Office Upgrade

This split system replacement Capalaba project involved completely replacing the existing air conditioning system servicing an upstairs office, including both the indoor and outdoor units.

Because the outdoor unit was positioned on the roof directly above the office, specialised access using a 26ft self-levelling diesel scissor lift was required to safely complete the removal and installation.

Jaric Air Conditioning and Electrical decommissioned and removed the existing system before supplying and installing a new Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Bronte + Wi-Fi Reverse Cycle Inverter Split System, model DXK24ZRA-WF1-Set.

The new system provides 7.1kW cooling and 8.0kW heating capacity, with built-in Wi-Fi for added control and convenience.

As part of the installation, Jaric replaced the required supporting materials, including refrigerant pipework, duct covering, interconnecting cables, power supply cables, outdoor isolator and condenser mounting equipment.

The indoor unit was installed on the existing internal wall, while the new outdoor unit was mounted on the roof using HB450 mounting brackets. Pipework and interconnecting cables were routed directly through the wall and up to the roof.

Drainage was also configured for both cooling and heating operation, with summer condensate directed to the designated drain point and winter drainage routed onto the roof.

A new isolator and dedicated electrical circuit were installed as part of the upgrade.

The completed split system air conditioning replacement in Capalaba provided the upstairs office with a modern reverse-cycle air conditioning system while retaining the existing indoor and outdoor unit locations and renewing the essential installation components around the new equipment.
