Ohme EV Charger Installation for a BYD Sealion in Wellington Point

This EV charger installation Wellington Point project involved installing a dedicated 7.4kW Ohme ePod home charger for a BYD Sealion 8.

Following an assessment of the home’s existing electrical infrastructure, Jaric Air Conditioning and Electrical supplied and installed an Ohme ePod 7.4kW Smart EV Charger beneath the front carport.

The installation included a new dedicated 32A single-phase circuit from the main switchboard, individual RCBO safety protection, a weatherproof isolation switch and active load management to help prevent the home’s electrical system from becoming overloaded.

Our licensed electricians also completed the required Energex application, electrical testing, commissioning and certification.

The untethered Ohme ePod features a universal Type 2 socket, giving the homeowner flexibility to use their own charging cable. Through the Ohme app, they can also schedule charging, monitor energy use and manage charging remotely.

The completed EV charger installation in Wellington Point gives the homeowner a dedicated home charging solution for their BYD Sealion, with the flexibility to support other compatible electric vehicles in the future.
