Q: Can you give us an overview of Jaric Electrical’s services and the types of customers you support?

Jaric provides full electrical services, from DNC, new builds, renovations, EV chargers, fault finding – the list goes on. We support domestic and commercial customers, real estate professionals, and some select industrial customers as well.

Q: What makes Jaric Electrical different from other electricians in the industry?

Jaric really focuses on our business as a service to all of our customers. We’re not a typical contractor looking to make a quick buck and never see you again. We want to be there for our customers from first contact, to first project, follow-up works, and service and maintenance. This is a team effort from our admin staff, multi-qualified technicians, and specialist office estimators.

Q: What are some of the most common electrical issues you help customers solve?

“Help, my power’s out!” – but really, all sorts of issues. Whether it’s electrical refreshes of a property with new lighting and power renovations, fault finding power outages, or bringing electrical installations up to the latest safety standards, we try to cover whatever our customers’ problems are. We have a strong focus on avoiding the disappointing adage of “just replace it with new.” Where possible, we try to repair things, minimising costs to customers by providing the best value solutions to the problems they face.

Q: Electrical safety is a big concern for home and business owners. How does Jaric help customers stay compliant and protected?

We are constantly staying abreast of the latest industry developments, whether safety standards, new industry best practices, or evolving technologies. By keeping our staff well-trained and aware of what’s happening in the electrical industry, we try to stay ahead of the competition.

Q: What advice would you give customers looking to improve their energy efficiency at home or in the workplace?

Reach out – even a quick phone call can help identify places where you could be doing better. I see a lot of customers who aren’t even aware they could be saving on simple things like modern lighting, more efficient appliances, and better electrical control systems. There isn’t a magic single solution; efficiency is all of the little things put together that save you money in the long run. Being aware of who your energy provider is and how much you are paying can be a really simple way to pay less on a daily basis.

Q: How do you ensure a smooth experience for customers, from booking a job to project completion?

It’s the whole team – from the first call to our admin team, who are really knowledgeable, to being passed on to our service managers, who have decades of experience on the tools, to the techs we send out who deal with every problem under the sun. We always ensure that our whole process is seamless. This makes sure our customers are seen quickly and efficiently and ensures they get the best outcome possible. It’s really a combined effort that you can see in our attention to detail in all parts of a job, from booking, estimation, parts selection, and installation.

Expertise & Customer Experience

Q: Can you share a memorable success story where Jaric made a real difference for a customer?

There have been quite a few. One that popped up recently was a customer who wanted an EV charger for her property. Due to the constraints on her electrical installation being part of a larger unit block, she had been quoted a crazy amount to install a completely over-specced charger.

With a quick conversation, we found that her needs weren’t a charger that could charge her car in 3 hours to full from empty. She was really only commuting 60 kms a day, with the occasional larger drive. We changed tack and sourced an adaptable charger that would serve her needs at more than a quarter of the price she had been originally quoted.

Our customer, a single mother, was over the moon that she could get a product that suited her needs without costing the earth. We really strive to find the best solution for our customers and not just “a” solution.

Q: How does your team stay up to date with industry changes, new technologies, and evolving customer needs?

With how quickly the electrical industry and technology change, we keep abreast of all the latest developments. We achieve this in a few ways: regular training of our technicians with industry partners, staying aware of new and developing technologies with our suppliers, and our professional relationships with our business partners. It’s also our attitude to our work as well. If we don’t know, we don’t give up; we reach out to a large network of peers and professional partners to find the answer.

Future Trends & Innovation

Q: Are there any emerging electrical trends or technologies that you think home and business owners should be aware of?

EV chargers and vehicle-to-grid tech are fantastic new emerging technologies that do more than just charge your car. With the recent cyclone, we saw a fair few customers that powered on through week-long power outages with their EV powering their home in lieu of their typical supply. There is a really fantastic new range of products that are just around the corner that will help customers reduce bills and provide energy security, especially in stormy QLD.
