We’ve gathered some resourceful articles to ensure you’re getting the support needed, now that a new year has just started.
Looking back at the past year activity and experience, we’ve noticed some topics repeating quite often. This is why we intend to refresh and deliver you useful information based on your needs and interests.
1. Why is the air conditioner “star rating” important for you?
Residential air conditioners were first required to carry an energy label back in 1987 and have been subject to Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) since 2004. For a better understanding, the higher the star rating of an air conditioner, the more efficient the product is.
A practical tool to measure your energy rating is by using this calculator .
Also, for more information regarding energy efficiency, you can check these useful tips and tricks published in one of our previous blogs.
2. What are the options to cool multiple rooms in a home?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions we’ve got. There are actually several ways to cool more rooms in your house. Should you go for multiple wall splits, a multi split or a ducted system? The answer is: it depends. Whilst the first option is the least preferred, a multi-split system proves to be very efficient when cooling 2 to 5 rooms. On the other hand, if you live in a bigger house and wish for room by room control via zoning system, you should look at what ducted air conditioning can do for you.
3. How can you keep your AC properly maintained?
When it comes to air conditioning maintenance, the first thing that comes to mind is cost. We have good news for you! Apart from major AC jobs that require a qualified technician, there is some maintenance you can do it yourself!
Find out how by reading one of our very resourceful articles about how to service your AC.
4. Why do air conditioner technicians need to be licenced?
As described in a previous blog, in order to ensure a correct installation, repair or maintenance of any AC, a qualified licenced professional is the best person to handle the job. As a matter of fact, all technicians must possess a licence issued by the Australian Refrigeration Council to ‘handle’ refrigerant gases that are commonly used in both residential and commercial air conditioners.
