Jaric customer completes Endeavour Rally

Giving back to people with disabilities

Adam Bear, a longstanding Jaric Electrical client, has recently completed the Endeavour Rally to raise money for people with mental disabilities.

Motivated to contribute by his son’s vision disability, 2021 was Adam’s second year participating in the Rally. And not only was it an opportunity to give something back, Adam says it was also a chance to visit places on his own personal bucket list, such as Birdsville, The Dig Tree at Hungerford, and Cameron Corner.

Last year’s Julia Creek run raised $7,000. This year, with all the challenges of Covid and movement restrictions, the team still managed to raise $5,000 for charity.

The 60 participating cars completed 4,000 kilometres in just 10 days, raising $570,000 for the Endeavour Foundation. The ADF also got involved, providing mechanical support to participants – something that Adam was grateful for when he suffered gearbox issues 3 or 4 days in.

Adam says the Rally was a chance to meet fantastic people – such as the Betoota Hotel publican who kept his broken-down car safe, and even arranged a backload to get it home.

Good on you Adam for your efforts!
